Course Program

In the morning participants receive instrument-specific tuition from expert teachers. In the afternoon the participants have the chance to play together in a range of combinations. These combinations will be chosen according to the musical preferences and ability of the musicians, thereby ensuring that each participant can make the most of the jazz workshop.

Über Rob van Bavel

Graduated at the Rotterdam Conservatory with an A’cum laude’. He won several awards. Second Prize at the Thelonious Monk Jazz Piano Competition (Washington), several European Soloists Awards in Begium and Germany and the Wessel Ilcken Award in Holland. The Rob van Bavel Trio was awarded the “Edison” (the Dutch Grammy). Rob van Bavel recorded over 50 CD’s both as a sideman as a leader . Nowadays Rob is teaching jazzpiano at the Royal Conservatory and at the Amsterdam Conservatory. Also active as an Composer/arranger.
