The International Master Classes in Vaduz were brought into being by the Princely Director of Music, Josef Frommelt, in 1970. In the years that followed they developed to become the high-quality educational and concert platform that has enriched the summer cultural scene in the Principality of Liechtenstein every year since.
Over the years, several thousand young musicians from over 50 nations have extended their skills and knowledge, enabling them to advance their own personal musical development. By dint of their outstanding reputation all over the world, the master classes are able to attract prestigious lecturers year after year.
The international master classes in Liechtenstein fall within the remit of the Liechtenstein Music School, whose management board is responsible for the course administration and which has for many years been able to rely on the support of an honorary committee.
Through their generous moral and financial support the members of the Honorary Committee have made a significant contribution to the successful development of the international master classes for many years and are on hand to assist the course administration team:
